A Xaelen Au Ra from the Steppes of Azim. He found his way to Kugane a long time ago. He now works as a bouncer and dancer at various clubs across Eorzea and abroad.You can find more about him and his family in the links below.
Khal was born to the Xaela all-women tribe called Borlaaq. Considering he was a boy he could not stay with them due to their rules within the tribe. The Borlaaq women left Khal in the wilderness and this is where he was found by the Olkund tribe. Khal found his future within the tribe limited so Khal left the Steppe. The Xaela eventually found his way across the Red Sea and into Kugane. Admittedly it took a few bribes. But with some doctored documents he was allowed into the port city. There as money ran low Khal found out about these illicit fighting rings that various organizations would run. This is where Khal got his start as a bare-knuckle boxer. Khal got in bad with one of the syndicates. The Xaela owed a decent amount of money to said syndicate. This caused Khal to end up working for them to pay off his debts.Since having his debt paid off to his former boss by a wealthy friend Khal has kept close eyes on his former master. Making sure the man did not stray from his promises.Khal then moved to work at a bar in Shirogane for a time. Falling in love with the owner there. They became married and the marriage was happy for a time. Unfortunately near the end, they had differences that couldn't be overcome and Khal left. Leaving those he cared about behind.After a time of grieving and healing, he went on to work as a bouncer and a dancer at other businesses, becoming a patron of others. He after a bit of soul searching and wandering found himself working as a model. And that work brought him back to a woman who meant so much to him. Essandiel Gorranna. This Viera was an old friend and lover of Khal's and they since have taken up dating and spending copious amounts of time together.

Quirks: Khal has a tin of chewy candy (gum) that he keeps within the breast pocket of his vest. Those who know him know he'd quit smoking and has taken up chewing gum ever since.

Olkund Raised: Khal was born a Borlaaq. They are the tribe that casts out all of the males at one year old. Khal was lucky enough to have been found by a passing group of Olkund Au Ra. He was raised by them until he was twenty-two.
Kugane Street Fights/Underground Fighting: Khal got this start in the darker side of Kugane by being a bare-knuckle boxer. He did such things for ten years before becoming an enforcer for the syndicate he worked for. He gathered quite the notoriety in the underground for it. It's entirely possible your character knows of Khal for it.
Club and Bar Bouncer: You likely have seen Khal around bouncing at various clubs or bars within Eorzea and abroad.
Void-Touched: If you're aether sensitive, you'd be able to tell that this Xaela wasn't all that he appeared to be. The man was very much void-touched. Whether that was through his training as a Dark Knight or something else. It was very clear this man had touched the other side and came back from it.
